The Data Hog Plus-U is a multi-function battery powered data collector that can continuously store data for up to 2 weeks using a 9V alkaline battery or more than a month with a 9V lithium. It supports up to 128GB SD cards with familiar terminal commands like “DIR”, “CD”, “COPY”, etc. and can upload/download files or run programs directly from the serial channel. Main features include:

- Add an SD Card to any serial interface including USB, RS232, SPI, I2C, and +3.3V TTL Logic Level Serial
- Automatically transfer programs or data to a connected device
- Convert between channels (USB to RS232 for example) while optionally logging all activity to a timestamped protocol analysis file as text or color-coded HTML
- Powered from internal battery, USB port, or external 4V-16V input
- Provides up to 250mA @ +3.3V output to external devices
- Custom programs allow more complex operation with unit responding to events
- Temperature compensated clock/calendar with high-speed timer
